Explore Chester, IL
Located in Southern Illinois, right along the banks of the Mississippi River, Chester is nestled high on the bluff overlooking the eastern ridge of Missouri. Chester serves as the county seat for Randolph County and provides the only bridge of transportation between St. Louis and Cape Girardeau, MO caring approximately 7,000 Midwest travelers per day. A new bridge is set to begin construction in 2023.
The rural, Midwest setting provides seasonal weather throughout the year. Many winters, the area will see snowfall and in the summers the heat allows ample time outside for swimming and outdoor entertainment and recreation. Part of the pleasure of living in the region is watching the seasons change from the blooms of spring to the bright colors of fall.
